Severe Weather Information
In the event of Severe Weather- we have posted some important information here for you.
The saferooms located at the Mountain View School are open to the public ONLY when school is not in session. When children and staff are present the safe rooms are closed to the public to keep our children and the staff save during these events.
**PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SHELTERS AT THE SCHOOL. THIS IS THEIR RULE.**
- When are the safe rooms opened up?
- If there is a Tornado Watch for the City of Mountain View - the storm shelters at the Mountain View School will not be opened up.
- If there is a Tornado Warning for the City of Mountain View - officers will begin opening the Tornado Shelter at the Mountian View High School first, once that is full they will move to the middle school safe room. The agreement the city has with the school is that an officer must staff the safe room when they are opened.
HIGH SCHOOL SAFE ROOM LOCATION -
MIDDLE SCHOOL SAFE ROOM LOCATION - used after High School Fills up.
